Plain language. No 10,000-word block. Here’s what using Clipy means.

Use it honestly

Don't record things you don't have permission to record. Don't use Clipy to harass, spam, or break laws.

You own your clips

We don't claim ownership of your recordings. You can delete them. We may remove content that violates these terms.

No warranties

Clipy is provided “as is.” We can't promise zero downtime, zero bugs, or zero data loss. Keep backups for critical clips.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes go to courts in the same jurisdiction.

Accounts

  • Viewing a shared clip doesn’t require an account.
  • Recording requires signing in — so we can show the clip in your library.
  • Provide accurate info when you sign up. Don’t share credentials.
  • We may suspend accounts that clearly violate these terms.

Recording & sharing

  • You’re responsible for what you record and where you share the link.
  • Recordings are unlisted by default; only the link exposes them.
  • You can delete recordings at any time from your library.
  • You retain all rights to your content.

Service changes

We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of Clipy. We’ll do our best to give notice for meaningful changes.
