The Clipy Pledge
A short, dated, founder-signed list of things Clipy will not do. Loom can't sign this. We can — and we're putting our name on it.
If we ever break one of these, the email at the bottom of this page is real.
Our promises
No watermark — ever, on any recording.
Recordings you made yesterday, today, or five years from now will never get a Clipy logo, badge, or branded outro stamped on them. The recording you upload is the recording your viewer sees.
No signup wall for viewers.
The person you send a Clipy link to opens it and watches. We will not gate playback behind "create an account to continue," a marketing email, a workspace invite, or any other interstitial. Press play, that's it.
If we ever launch a paid tier, the current free experience stays free.
We may someday add paid features — team admin, longer retention, custom branding for power users. The flow you use today — record, get a link, share it, no watermark, no time cap — stays free for you and for new users.
We will not sell your data or run ad networks against your recordings.
No third-party ad networks. No data brokers. No "anonymized" data sold to analytics resellers. Your recordings are not shared with anyone you didn't share them with — not partners, not advertisers, not LLM training pipelines we don't own.
Account deletion fully purges your videos and your data.
When you delete your account, we delete your videos from object storage and we delete your rows from our database. Not soft-deleted, not archived for "compliance," not held for 90 days in case you change your mind. Gone.

If we ever break a promise
Email support@clipy.online with the line item we broke and a link or screenshot. It goes to me directly — not to a ticket queue, not to a deflection bot.
If we did break it, we'll fix it. If the fix takes longer than a week, or if the damage is already done (a recording that got a watermark, a viewer who hit a signup wall and bounced), I will pay you out of pocket — refund what you spent on a competitor, buy back your time, whatever lands closest to making it right.
I'd rather take the L on a bad promise than rewrite this page later and hope nobody screenshotted it. The Internet Archive has it. Friends of mine have it. So do you.
